With the NIS Directive and the EU Cybersecurity Act, the European Union created the framework for the legal and institutional design of IT security measures for the EU and its Member States. With regard to the NIS Directive, an expedited review at the beginning of 2020 announced the prospect of a new regulation.

eco – Association of the Internet Industry has taken on the specification of the GAIA-X Federation Services and has set up a Project Management Office (PMO) and defined five work packages.
