Andreas Weiss, Head of Digital Business Models at the eco Association, explains in an interview why we need a trustworthy digital space that is consistently oriented towards European standards and values.

In this course the HPI will explore the origins, goals, development path and fakes of Blockchain technology that have emerged along the way. More specifically, the course will take a look at the initial idea of Blockchain and how it works. Then, it will examine which evolution it has run through from a decentralized registry to a world computer. Participants will get to know the challenges of Blockchain and Blockchain alternatives. Last but not least, participants will learn how you can successfully use blockchain.

Following its appointment in autumn 2019, the EU Commission identified digital policy as a central field of action. The Data Strategy presented by the Commission in spring 2020 set out the key pillars of the Commission’s future data policy.

One year after the adoption of the EU Green Deal, leading cloud infrastructure providers and data centre operators in Europe have signed up to a joint Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact – with this including the Alliance for the Strengthening of Digital Infrastructures in Germany, founded under the umbrella of the eco Association.
