77 percent of IT experts in Germany estimate that the general threat to Internet security is growing. This is a key finding of the eco IT Security Survey 2021. eco has been publishing this study annually since 2010, and surveyed 175 experts from the IT industry for this purpose this year.

ICANN’s Office of the CTO offers the course, “DNS for ISPs”, a fast-paced, intense two-hour webinar covering myriad topics of DNS configuration and DNS security and monitoring intended for network engineers who are operating a service provider network. Topics include the benefits and challenges of operating open vs. closed DNS resolvers, best practices for operating a DNSSEC-validating resolver, discussions of encrypted DNS protocols like DNS-over-HTTPS and DNS-over-TLS, introducing the concept of running your own local copy of the root zone, reverse DNS considerations, and a discussion about the confluence of routing security (RPKI) with DNS operations.
