DMA: The European Commission has published a summary of the results of the consultation on the review of the Digital Markets Act. The DMA will be reviewed every three years to ensure that it achieves its objectives and remains effective in the changing environment of digital markets. The first review report is due to be presented by 3 May 2026.

DSA: Poland’s President Karol Nawrocki vetoed a law implementing the Digital Services Act, even though the Polish Parliament had already adopted the law at the end of 2025.

Cyberbullying: In France, 10 people were found guilty for repeatedly claiming that Brigitte Macron, the wife of the French president, was not a cisgender woman or that she was committing “criminal acts of pedophilia” against her husband.

European Court of Justice

You can find the judicial calendar of the CJEU here.

For Thursday, 15 January 2026, the judgment in the Wunner case (C-77/24) is scheduled. The request for a preliminary ruling from the “Obersten Gerichtshof” (Supreme Court of Austria) concerns claims for damages arising from the provision of online gambling without a licence.

On the same day, the Opinion in the Anne Frank Fonds case (C-788/24) is expected. The request for a preliminary ruling from the “Hoge Raad der Nederlanden” (Netherlands) concerns the publication of a work on the Internet as a communication to the public in a particular country, geo-blocking, and circumvention by means of a VPN or similar service.
