News CW 11 (10.03.2025-16.03.2025)

AI: As part of the AI Act, the Commission has adopted an implementing act to govern the establishment and operation of a scientific panel. The panel is to support the AI Office.

Digital retail: The EU and South Korea have negotiated a landmark Digital Trade Agreement (DTA) and are now preparing everything for its signing, as reported by Politico.

AI: The AI Office has published the third draft of the practical guidelines for the General-Purpose AI Code. These are intended to clarify the obligations of providers under the AI Act.

AI data centres: The European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) has selected six new locations for AI factories in Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, France, Poland and Slovenia.

European Digital Connectivity Awards 2025: The application form has been set up and will be available until 2 June 2025. You can find information on how to apply here.
