5 Questions for Marcel Rieger, Managing Director JAMORIE Consulting

In our eco member interview, Marcel Rieger, Managing Director at JAMORIE Consulting, explains what the central challenges of digital transformation are today and how modern consulting approaches look.

Mr Rieger, could you give us a brief introduction to your company?

We are a young, modern company with the goal of shaping the digital transformation for a secure future. Our focus is on advising organisations, acting as a trusted partner to help them navigate the challenges of digitalization and cybersecurity and to successfully overcome them. We place great importance to realising potential through collaboration with partners and at the same time, creating an environment through a focus on New Work where individuals can fully develop their strengths and growth opportunities. Our core principles – trust, responsibility, empowerment, and innovation – guide all of our decisions and actions.

Which digitalisation topics are particularly important to you?

or us, two primary topics are essential and define our path. First, as a society, we are currently facing the challenge of integrating digital transformation into our structures in such a way that everyone can benefit from this change and the possibilities that come with it, such as Artificial Intelligence and other future technologies. Therefore, we place a strong focus on designing and implementing solutions that are innovative and sustainable.

Secondly, digitalisation is leading to a significant dependency on digital services for both companies and society. Therefore, our second major focus is cybersecurity.

Both topics can only succeed in synergy. By combining digitalisation and security, synergies are created that enable a sustainable increase in value creation.

What specific challenges is your industry facing at the moment, and how are you helping to address them?

We are currently experiencing an unprecedented scale of government regulations in the digital space, including directives such as NIS2 and legislation such as the Cyber Resilience Act and the AI Act. The multitude of new regulations, along with growing technological complexity poses immense challenges for companies in terms of implementation and prioritisation. We provide support pragmatic approaches that identify the key steps based on the context and implement them together with the company. In doing so, we see ourselves not just as consultants, but as enablers of digital transformation. Additionally, we continuously test new technologies, such as generative AI, and assess their possibilities and limitations.

How do you expect your membership in the eco Association to support you in this?

We believe that the ever-increasing complexity of the digital world can only be mastered through collaboration and intensive dialogue. Therefore, we hope for a platform and events where we can connect with like-minded individuals, share experiences, and of course, exchange our learnings. Alongside technical forums, topics such as New Work and sustainability are also very important to us.

What opportunities does digitalisation offer us in the future?

We are currently facing major challenges as a society, but at the same time we have unprecedented opportunities to tap into the full potential of digital systems. Our focus is therefore on developing intelligent, integrated systems that relieve people in their work and create space for the development of creative potential, collaboration and individuality. We believe that the future is digital and secure and requires a small amount of courage to take the necessary steps in the right direction.

Thank you very much, Mr Rieger!
