In December 2021, eco – Association of the Internet Industry will honour forward-looking Internet companies and their solutions with the eco://award. After the awards ceremony in 2020 was held online due to Covid pandemic, this year’s ceremony is planned for 8 December 2021, as part of Cloud Expo Europe at Messe Frankfurt a. M. The award ceremony with after-show party will be the highlight of an exciting year for the Internet industry, at the end of 2021.
From now until 23 August, companies are invited to apply with their initiatives, projects, products and services. Prerequisite for the application is that they use the Internet as a basis or intelligent supplement. Renowned personalities from the Internet industry will present the awards in six categories, Data Centre Infrastructure, Security, Startups, Ladies in Tech, Cloud & Hosting and Sustainability.

“We anticipate that, once again, the best of the best in the Internet industry will be competing for the coveted awards,” says Harald A. Summa, CEO of eco – Association of the Internet Industry. “The award is one of the most prestigious awards in the Internet industry and is highly regarded in the industry.”
A jury of experts, consisting of representatives from industry, academia, research and politics, will choose the nominations in each category. What is important is the uniqueness and innovation of each submission and its reach and impact for the industry. After the nomination phase, an expert jury will make the final selection of the best in the industry.
eco://congress with four thematic blocks
Before the eco://award ceremony, the industry will be meeting on the same day at the eco://kongress. Under the motto of “Security. Trust. Diversity.”, an exciting programme awaits the participants from 11 a.m. onwards. On the eco stage, in the middle of the Cloud Expo Europe trade fair, experts will be talking about current threats and new strategies and will be sharing their experiences. The thematic blocks “Social Discourse”, “Gaia-X”, “IT Security” and “Diversity in the Digital World” provide the framework for exciting panel discussions and presentations. The award ceremony and after-show party will start at 7 pm.
