At the end of February 2020, eco Academy launched their new webinar series. In the association Emma Wehrwein, project manager and contact person for webinars at the eco Association, is responsible for the new event format. In this short interview, she explains how the new offer came about, what is special about the webinars, which topics are planned, and at whom the events are directed.
Emma, how come the eco Academy is now also offering webinars?
As a trade association, eco naturally covers a wide range of topics. Not only that, with some content it is also somewhat difficult to get people to travel to an event in person. In addition, attendance events are also expensive, involved, and time-consuming for all those involved.
It’s nice that we can first present trend topics in webinar format and check the level of interest. On this basis, we can then offer further events for members and all interested parties.
What is special about the eco webinars?
The eco webinars always deal with content that is highly topical in the IT industry. So the webinar series gives you a good overview of trending topics, but also a compact insight into the most important details.
We have great experts from the industry who convey the content and answer the participants’ questions at the end of each webinar. Summarized: Our webinars are high-quality, compact, and uncomplicated – by experts for experts!
What topics are you planning for future webinars?
The core topics of digital transformation are broad and increasingly important for companies that have to deal with digital trends now to remain competitive. That’s why participants can expect a broad spectrum: in addition to Industry 4.0, AI, cloud, GDPR, cybersecurity, DevOps, smart IoT, Big Data, and energy efficiency in data centers, we will also offer webinars on New Work issues. So there is something for everyone!
For whom are the webinars particularly suitable?
Participation in our webinars is free of charge for everyone! So anyone can participate. Of course, webinars are a frontal format. Accordingly, our webinars concentrate on providing initial information on the respective topics or providing an update. If someone is looking for a platform for exchange and discussion, our networking events are then the next step.
