Artificial intelligence: The EU Member States’ Council has approved the agreement reached in the trilogue on the AI Act. After being signed by the Presidents of the European Parliament and the Council, the act will be published in the Official Journal of the EU in the coming days and will enter into force twenty days after publication.
Protection of minors online: The EU Commission initiated an investigation on Meta on 16 May to examine whether Meta has violated the Digital Services Act (DSA) and its provisions regarding the protection of minors and the handling of illegal and harmful content (Euractiv).
