Gigabit Infrastructure Act: According to the latest reports from the Euractiv news portal, a timely agreement in the Gigabit Infrastructure Act is imminent. The trilogue format scheduled for 5 February 2024 could be the final round.
AI Act: According to the latest reports, the German federal government has dropped its opposition to the EU AI Act and plans to approve it in the Council negotiations on 2 February 2024. Reportedly, COREPER has unanimously approved the trilogue result.
Right to repair: On 2 February 2024, the negotiating parties from Parliament and the Council were able to reach an agreement in the trilogue on the so-called “right to repair”.
