AI: The EU Commission seeks experts for a scientific panel of independent experts on artificial intelligence and its impact. The panel will advise and support both the AI Office and national authorities in the implementation and enforcement of the AI Act. Applications are open until 14 September 2025.
Digital: The EU Commission has published a report on the State of the Digital Decade.
Fibre optics: The Connecting Europe Broadband Fund (CEBF) has already brought one million fibre optic connections in underserved rural and semi-rural regions of Europe.
Electronic communications: The EU Commission has launched a consultation on the revision of the Recommendation on relevant markets. The deadline for feedback is 17 September 2025.
Infrastructure: The EU Commission has launched a consultation on guidance on the application of the Gigabit Infrastructure Act. Feedback is possible until 17 September 2025.
Roaming: The EU Commission has proposed to integrate Ukraine into the EU Roaming area as from January 2026.
Cloud computing: Politico reports on concerns that Trump could unplug Europe from the digital world.
Age verification: Euractiv reports on differing views on where the planned age verification should take place.
AI: The AI Chamber, which represents the interests of AI-focused companies in Central and Eastern Europe, has presented its AI Action Plan.
