An Interview with Christoph van Lück, Chair of the Board at ECHO
Why do you support EuroCloud Native (ECN) as an Alliance Partner?
As a EuroCloud Native Alliance Partner, we’d like to contribute to further success. ECHO eG is a cooperative merger of European hosters and its companies. For our members, EuroCloud offers a comprehensive exchange among IT experts from a wide range of sectors and corresponding specialist expertise. We are conscious of the ever faster change in the market and the continuous new range of challenges. ECHO is the central point of contact here, and not only for its own members. As an Alliance Partner, we see a strong partnership that will set us and our members up for success in the future – together in a strong, innovative and future-proof community where we look forward to various new topics.
How have you specialised and positioned yourselves as providers for the cloud native market?
Data security, cybersecurity, and an overall commercial and technical view are very important for our members. Transparency and reliability are the keys to success for our SMEs members. The cloud native market is not seen as competition but as another opportunity to expand its own product portfolio. With members all over Europe, we are able to be close to our customers and users. Data centres, colocation, and cloud services are thus offered from a single source and a strong community. The ECN offers a competent network and ECHO welcomes an active exchange.
What do you bring to the initiative for ECN members?
In the field of ECN projects, ECHO eG and its many European members have vast experience, involving hundreds of experts. The requirements and challenges of the market are well known to us. They include hybrid and dedicated solutions as well as concepts – modern and proven technologies in interaction.
We would like to contribute our long-standing industry experience to joint ECN projects and initiatives and help raise awareness of high-quality, secure and high-performance cloud solutions. Our objectives include educating ECN members and companies about individual solution possibilities, including hybrid and dedicated concepts.
How can EuroCloud Native increase industry awareness?
Being able to look at things from different perspectives and learning from others’ experiences. This requires a change of consciousness. We see the EuroCloud Native as the right partner to further advance the relevant topics and thus also promote awareness and perception.
