eco Names & Numbers Steering Committee welcomes new members

After two years in service, the eco Names & Numbers Steering Committee has now undergone the first changes in its composition. At the ICANN66 Annual General Meeting in Montreal, the group welcomed five new incoming members:

  • Martin KĂĽchenthal, Founder / CEO, LEMARIT
  • Reg Levy, Director of Compliance, Tucows
  • Ulrich Retzlaff, Domain Name Expert & Partner Manager, 1&1 IONOS
  • Michael Salazar, COO & CFO, Minds + Machines Group
  • Alan Woods, Senior Compliance & Policy Manager, Donuts

The committee brings together 16 representatives from all areas of the Domain industry, who represent the sector globally. They include, for example, experts from Country Code Top-Level Domains (ccTLDs), traditional and new Generic Top-Level Domains (legacy and new gTLDs), as well as registrars, technical service providers, and consultants.

The eco Names & Numbers Forum working group established the steering committee in early 2017 to represent the interests of the Domain industry within the association. The members advise and steer the working group, and provide regular stimulus and feedback on current association work. They meet in person regularly in conjunction with ICANN meetings. The members also keep in transcontinental and cross-border contact through telephone conferences.
