After four years in service, the eco Names & Numbers Steering Committee has now undergone the second change in its composition. Following on from the ICANN72 Virtual Annual General Meeting, the group now warmly welcomes five new incoming members:
- Elizabeth Bacon, Senior Director, Policy and Privacy, Public Interest Registry
- Samantha Demetriou, Senior Director – Policy, Verisign
- Kelly Hardy, Head of Registry Policy, CentralNic
- Gretchen Olive, Director of Policy and Global Domain Name Services, CSC
- Kristian Ørmen, Domain Specialist, one.com
The committee brings together 16 representatives from all areas of the domain industry. Together, these members represent the sector on a global level. The members include, for example, experts from Country Code Top-Level Domains (ccTLDs), traditional and new Generic Top-Level Domains (legacy and new gTLDs), as well as registrars, technical service providers, and consultants.
The eco Names & Numbers Forum working group established the steering committee in early 2017 to represent the interests of the domain industry within the eco Association. The members not only advise and steer the working group, but they also provide regular stimulus and feedback on current association work. They meet in person regularly in conjunction with ICANN meetings and, in between times, avail of telephone conferences to stay in cross-border and transcontinental contact.
