Stefan Zenkel, Founder and Managing Director of dre aConTech GmbH, said in an eco member interview that people must be at the centre of digitalisation.
Mr Zenkel, could you please give us a brief introduction to your company, aConTech GmbH
Since 2011, aConTech has been one of the leading providers of cloud consulting, implementation and operation in Germany. In addition to in-depth technological expertise and passion, its speciality lies in the connection of human-technology-organisation. The multi-award-winning framework for the introduction of modern technologies in organisations, academically accompanied by our own educators, makes the difference in the successful introduction and acceptance of new technologies in companies. Since 2020, aConTech has been a member of the teccle group, which has been shaking up the German IT market with broad expertise ever since.
Which digitalisation topics are particularly important to you?
People must be at the centre of digitalisation. Even if AI and modern work, as well as automation, are certainly the technological drivers, it must be clear at all times, how and why we are using these technologies for our own benefit or as a society. In doing so, the technology must be user-friendly and not raise additional barriers. We ensure this by consistently using the latest cloud native technology and development.
What are the special challenges in your sector at the moment and how are you working on them?
In addition to the universally invoked shortage of skilled workers, the major challenge is the acceptance and use of modern cloud technology in public administration. While data protection and the protection of personal rights must be at the centre of any technology introduction, we must not play these off against the progress and possibilities of digitalisation in public administration, which underpins our prosperity. To address these concerns, we have developed our own programming and procedures. This enables us to pick up information security and data protection officers in public administration. In addition, we swiftly implement customised, validated technological solutions.
How do you expect your membership in the eco Association to support you in this regard?
We would like to help shape politics, society and technology, set standards and contribute our expertise as one of the first ever cloud native providers on the German market for all members. We are pleased to share our special know-how in the connection of psychosocial-human behaviour and procedures in the use, introduction and acceptance of new technologies in order to advance digitalisation in Germany at all levels with the association.
What opportunities does digitalisation offer us in the future?
Digitalisation represents both the greatest opportunity and challenge for almost all socially relevant issues, including climate protection, decarbonisation, social justice, sustainability, optimising work-life balance, migration, addressing skills shortages and generally ensuring a future worth living in a healthy world for our children. We have the freedom to choose any topic from the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. The ability to help shape all these topics is a special honour, but of course also an obligation. Let’s seize the opportunity!
Mr Zenkel, thank you very much for the interview!
