Mr Ziegler, we are pleased to welcome you as an eco member.
- Could you give us a brief introduction to your company in 2-3 sentences?
primion Technology GmbH is a specialist and solution provider for integrated access control systems, digital time recording, intrusion detection systems and security technology. In addition to a strong presence in the German market, the primion group is also successful with its subsidiaries in Belgium, Spain and France, as well as in the DACH region and in Eastern Europe through partners.
- Which digitalisation topics are particularly important to you?
Beyond the possibility of seamless data and information exchange across a wide range of IT infrastructures, protection against cyber attacks is also an important prerequisite for secure connected systems. Cybersecurity and the social change in the dealing with sensitive data will be the major topics of digitalisation, in addition to technological progress.
- What are particular challenges in your industry at the moment and how are you working on them?
In addition to supporting new working models in the context of working time management, it is a challenge to adapt solutions in the area of security and access control to rapidly changing framework conditions. Agile methods in the introduction of new technologies and functionalities are a major key to success. primion offers models for Internet-based as well as mobile solutions for time recording. Software is also available as a cloud solution in order to be able to respond quickly and comprehensively to short-term requirements. “primion Certified Access” enables flexible and rapid responses to the Covid-19 pandemic.
- How do you expect your membership in the eco Association to support you in this regard?
The Internet already provides platforms on which primion offers products and services. With the shift of solutions to the cloud, there is an increasing demand to assess digital infrastructures in terms of risks and opportunities and to integrate them as an essential part of the offering to our customers. Membership in the eco Association is an essential prerequisite for living up to this claim within our industry.
- What opportunities does digitalisation offer us in the future?
In addition to a completely new way of organising working hours and workplaces, digitalisation also offers entirely new possibilities for the plausibilisation of identities. This is associated with a significantly increased level of security in terms of authenticity and integrity. The second aspect will become significantly more important, especially in the area of securing critical infrastructures.
Thank you very much for the interview, Mr Ziegler!
