5 Questions for Matthias Stroezel, SSC-Services GmbH

How does SSC use data collaboration solutions such as Gaia-X and Catena-X to connect people and companies? SSC-Services Managing Director Matthias Stroezel talks about this in an eco member interview.

Mr Stroezel, could you please give us a brief introduction to SSC-Services?

We have been an IT enabler in the field of collaboration since 1998. We connect people and companies. SSC helps to make processes more effective wherever collaboration between people and companies and between companies in the development sector of the automotive industry is involved.

Which digitalisation topics are particularly important to you?

The human factor is particularly important to us. The best technology is of little use without user acceptance. That’s why we try to keep the user in mind when setting up new technologies. This ultimately ensures significantly increased effectiveness and utilisation.

What are the particular challenges in your industry at the moment and how are you working on them?

Given the increasing complexity and extremely rapid pace of change, focussing on the key issues is probably the most relevant factor.

In order to remain competitive in Europe, SSC is working intensively on the development of sovereign European data collaboration solutions such as Gaia-X and Catena-X. In general, new approaches to collaboration are the big SSC topics.

How do you expect your membership of the eco Association to support you in this?

We are hoping for an exchange with a high level of competence and would like to contribute our many years of expertise. We would like to support the representation of new requirements that the industry needs for the further development of new technologies. We see our many years of experience and special focus on the human factor as a particular value.

What opportunities does digitalisation offer us in the future?

We see digitalisation as an option for exploiting major synergies for a wide range of issues from many different sectors. We are hoping for better working conditions for different lifestyles due to the reduction in mindless work and greater value placed on creativity. Here, too, we need to pay close attention to the human factor in order to equip ourselves for the future.

Mr Stroezel, thank you very much for the interview!
