The change in the world of work is associated with challenges in terms of agility and security, says Dr. Ebbinghaus, Managing Director of Enreach GmbH in an interview. With a membership in the eco Association, he would like to contribute to the further development of corresponding digital infrastructures and create framework conditions for future-oriented technologies.
Dr. Ebbinghaus, could you give us a brief introduction to your company, Enreach GmbH?
Enreach is a European brand that connects people. We are a leading European provider of unified communications, collaboration and cloud contact-centre solutions. All of our products help to improve communication and collaboration in businesses.
Which digitalisation topics are particularly important to you?
A central topic for us is the flexibilisation and mobilisation of the world of work With our solutions, we have been enabling users to work flexibly and from any location for a long time now. Employees are optimally integrated into their company’s ICT environment, even when undertaking mobile work or work from home, and can communicate and collaborate without restrictions, regardless of their location and the end device used. The Covid-19 pandemic has given this topic a huge boost, as has the use of cloud services.
We are also engaged in topics such as artificial intelligence and automation. Our communication solutions can be connected with other tools and offer further possibilities to optimise processes, for example through the integration of voice or chatbots.
What are the special challenges of your industry now and how are you working on them?
What is becoming increasingly important is to optimally align with customers and to understand what they really need – this applies just as much to our sales partners. What users expect from us as ICT companies is to help them to meet the agility and security challenges associated with the changing world of work. As a vendor, we therefore continuously develop our solutions with our customers’ requirements in mind, so that we can offer businesses exactly the functionality and flexibility they need.
We distribute our solutions through authorised specialist dealers, who are now more than ever called upon to make the transition from pure technology suppliers to digitalisation partners for their customers. In addition, Deutsche Telekom and other service providers also market our solutions. We support all of our sales partners with a suitable product and service portfolio for communication and cooperation, as well as with comprehensive know-how. Our training offering for resellers, for example, is firmly oriented to how we can make them successful. For Deutsche Telekom, we are a strategic partner in driving forward the digitalisation of SMEs.
How do you expect your membership in the eco Association to support you in this regard?
The association is a voice which represents the interests of all companies that are eager for us to make the most of the opportunities of digitalisation. When it comes to further developing the digital infrastructure and creating the right framework conditions for forward-looking technologies, there is still a great need for action in Germany. On these topics, the word of the association naturally carries much more weight than that of individual companies. This is key for ensuring that these topics can be addressed and that we can make Germany fit for the future together.
What opportunities does digitalisation offer us in the future?
The potential of digitalisation is far from being fully exploited. In the future, significant further increases in efficiency will be possible through an increasing degree of automation. What this means above all is: more time for the essentials. Companies can optimise their processes in such a way that they have more time for the actual day-to-day business. Employees are freed from routine tasks and can concentrate on customer contact or innovative ideas.
