On 6 and 7 May 2026, eco was present at Tech Show Frankfurt and helped shape the trade fair’s programme with numerous insights from the internet industry. Together with members, partners and visitors, the association looks back on two intensive days at the fair, filled with exchanges, networking and technical discussions.
Tech Show Frankfurt, alongside Cloud & AI Infrastructure Frankfurt and Data Centre World, once again brought together cloud innovators, technology experts and business leaders this year. More than 200 providers showcased the latest developments in cloud, AI, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure and data centres. For eco, the trade fair provided an important platform to highlight key issues in digital transformation and to think ahead together with the industry.
At the eco joint stand, the focus was on personal interaction. Over freshly brewed barista coffee, members, partners and interested parties came together to discuss the current challenges and opportunities of the digital economy. At the same time, eco set the technical tone on the Tech Show stages: Panel discussions and a workshop covered topics including Europe’s path from cloud-edge to AI, national and regional data centre strategies, digital sovereignty, edge computing, and technological breakthroughs for the data centre of the future. A key focus was on how Europe can further expand its digital capabilities. The role of high-performance cloud, AI and data centre infrastructures was also discussed.
The two days of the event clearly demonstrated that the eco community is actively shaping the digital transformation. Whether at the joint stand with 15 strong partners, on stage or in direct conversation with exhibitors and visitors, the Internet industry presented itself as a key driver of innovation, networking and digital sovereignty.
