Artificial intelligence: The Corrigendum to the AI Regulation has been accepted by the European Parliament. As no further requests were submitted for a new vote on the Corrigendum to the AI Regulation, the revised version of the regulation is considered to be adopted by the European Parliament. The approval of the Council is still pending.
Platform work: The European Parliament adopted the new Platform Work Directive in its session on 24 April 2024. The regulation establishes specific labour protection provisions for individuals working or providing services through digital platforms. As a directive, the EU Member States are now required to transpose these provisions as part of their national legislation.
Right to repair: In its session on 23 April 2024, the European Parliament adopted the directive on the repair of goods. The aim of the directive is to upgrade the repair of goods and appliances, rather than their disposal.
