AlphaEdge Ventures GmbH is a value-driven consulting company founded in 2022 that provides strategic advisory and hands-on execution to businesses on their road to sustainable digital transformation. Thereby we focus our services on:
Benchmarking: In-depth analysis of the current status of a client’s business, mapping the portfolio against ROI and benchmarking on a local and global scale.
Strategy Development: Developing data-driven solutions for sustainable and competitive businesses and services by applying digital transformation mechanisms and cutting-edge technologies.
Implementation and Validation: Hands-on coordination and management of the implementation and execution of the developed strategies from A to Z as well as their validation.

What are the special challenges in your industry at the moment and how are you working on them?
As a consulting company, we have to challenge the mindset of decision makers to convince them to understand the gaps and threats in their current business models, value chains and operating practices in terms of future-proofing and sustainability. It will take a tremendous effort by all stakeholders to move from current digitalisation to next-generation technologies and business processes that include resource efficiency, immersivity, Web3, AI & ML, IoT and more.
Furthermore, we encounter first-mover challenges in introducing unconventional solutions due to a lack of benchmarks and success stories.
One of our methods of addressing these challenges is to work closely with C-level decision makers within our network and with government bodies to build precedence cases.
How do you expect your membership in the eco association to support you in this?
We are excited to have joined the Eco Association and hope to expand our network and to be exposed to a wider audience as well as decision makers and technology enablers in the digitalisation space. We look forward to fruitful discussions and multi-directional knowledge exchanges, as well as to building valuable business partnerships.
What opportunities does digitalisation offer us in the future?
Digitalisation makes information and services accessible worldwide, thus enabling participation. Furthermore, digitalisation will diminish the knowledge gap in a global society and bridge cultures and people by eliminating barriers of language, location, and time.

Dr. Somakanthan Somalingam is a proven innovator with a strong technical background and more than 20 years of experience in R&D and business development covering adaptive optics, immersive technologies, hardware and software development in leading roles across research, engineering and consulting. He holds an MSc and a PhD in Physics from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, and has many years of practical, academic and entrepreneurial experiences at multinational companies such as Nokia, IAP-TUD, Steinbeis, and as a founder of startups.
Mr. Murugaiah Gobinath is passionate about selecting the right technologies to enable successful and sustainable digital transformation. He has over 15 years of hands-on consulting experience with over 200 multinational industry giants such as BASF, Linde, Shell and Hexagon. This includes digital business transformation for cloud & SaaS.
In his opinion, stepping out of your comfort zone can be very rewarding, whether it’s the satisfaction of learning a new cutting-edge technology, the appreciation after solving complex problems for global companies, or the adrenaline after finding the courage to go bungee jumping!
