BMFSFJ and eco Association enter into cooperation to promote work-life balance within the framework of the corporate programme “Success Factor Family”.
On 25 August 2021, eco – Association of the Internet Industry and the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women, and Youth (BMFSFJ) launched their cooperation to promote work-life balance in the digital industry.
The cooperation within the framework of the corporate programme “Success Factor Family” is based on the common understanding that a modern human resources policy supporting work-life balance for women and men has gained in importance for securing skilled labour, and that new opportunities for this balance have arisen from the experiences in the Covid-19 pandemic. The digital industry already allows its employees a high degree of flexibility in terms of time and space.
The Managing Director of eco, Alexander Rabe, says: “For years, eco has been committed to work-life balance and a modern human resources policy, both at our own locations and within the framework of various initiatives with our members. This commitment also paid off during the Covid period and we were once again encouraged by staff and members in our activities. We are therefore happy to support the corporate programme ‘Success Factor Family’ and contribute our experience and visions to joint projects.”
Petra Mackroth, Head of the Family Department at the BMFSFJ, emphasises: “We are very pleased to have won eco, an important player in the digital industry, as a new partner for our corporate programme ‘Success Factor Family’. The industry is characterised by great openness and innovative spirit and can be a pioneer of new forms of work, especially in the area of mobile working, which effectively facilitate work-life balance for parents. Together, we are aiming to advance such work-life balance as an important component of New Work.”
