Karl-Heinz Land, digital strategist and investor, is a new member of the Presidency Committee of eco – Association of the Internet Industry, a committee which was founded early last year.
For more than 35 years, Karl-Heinz Land has been supporting digital developments in international companies such as Oracle, BusinessObjects (SAP), and Microstrategy. With neuland, he has been running one of the leading digital and strategy consultancies since 2014, which has already received several awards from, among others, the business magazine brandeins. Land himself is a serial founder, speaker, and author.
“Karl-Heinz Land is a complete veteran and pioneer of the German IT industry. We are not only gaining another exciting figure for our Presidency Committee, but we are also certain that his expertise and his outstanding international network will provide important stimuli for the association’s work,” says eco Chair of the Board Oliver Süme.
Awareness-raising and support for SMEs
Land has been a prominent figure of the German Internet industry for many years and has always been a reliable partner with an excellent sense for synergies, adds eco Board Member for Online Services & Cloud Computing, Felix Höger. “I am very pleased that we were able to engage him for the eco Presidency Committee,” says Höger.
“The eco Association plays an important role for Germany as a digital location, as it promotes digitalization with responsibility and is committed to market transparency,” states Karl-Heinz Land. SMEs in particular still need a lot of information and support when it comes to capitalizing on digital technologies and developing digital business models, Land continues. “As a member of the eco Presidency Committee, I would like to contribute to establishing strong partnerships between Internet companies and SMEs. Digitalization for the benefit of all can only succeed if we combine all our available strengths.”
The eco Presidency Committee will successively include further high-ranking representatives from industry, academia, the media, and politics.
