eco on the Investment Emergency Programme

eco – Association of the Internet Industry welcomes the tax relief measures planned by the Federal Ministry of Finance as part of the Investment Emergency Programme to strengthen Germany as a business location.

eco Chair Oliver Süme comments:

“The planned tax relief measures are long overdue, but are an absolutely correct step to move Germany forward as a business location.

“In the current tense economic situation, the draft legislation marks a decisive turning point to promote growth – regardless of whether it concerns a large corporation or a family business. This also makes Germany more attractive internationally as a business location. For a long time, high tax burdens have held German companies back in comparison with other European countries.

“Unfortunately, the tax relief measures planned for 2028 once again lack high speed. Above all, it’s particularly important that the relief measures are not counteracted by a digital tax.”
