The German federal government’s next Digital Summit will take place in Frankfurt in 2024. This was officially announced today, Friday, by the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI). This decision is welcomed by DE-CIX, eco, and the eco-founded Alliance for the Strengthening of Digital Infrastructures in Germany initiative.

“We are delighted that the German federal government’s Digital Summit 2024 is coming to Frankfurt. As the home of Europe’s largest Internet Exchange DE-CIX and a hotspot for the data centres’ industry, Frankfurt is the optimal venue for discussions on the digitalisation of tomorrow with policymakers and businesses. We hope that this will also allow us to bring digital applications and innovation potentials closer to a broad audience. We want to achieve this together with the Alliance for the Strengthening of Digital Infrastructures in Germany, in which DE-CIX is joined by other leading operators, particularly from the data centre and cloud industry.”
