How can vshosting GmbH, as a managed cloud provider, give German SMEs a competitive advantage? Esther Eggert, Partner Manager DACH at vshosting GmbH, talks about this in an eco member interview.
Ms Eggert, could you please give us a brief introduction to your company, vshosting GmbH?
vshosting was founded in 2006 and has established itself as one of the leading managed cloud providers in Europe. What sets us apart is our fully managed 24/7 support on our own high-availability platforms as well as on all relevant public cloud platforms. We primarily focus on strong partnerships with system integrators, software vendors and digital agencies.
Which digitalisation topics are particularly important to you?
There are so many changes in such a short period of time that companies are confused by additional technical jargon during the digitalisation phase. We want to take them by the hand as an equal partner and guide them through increasingly complex IT structures. When it comes to these issues, we need to address not only the company but also the individual and not leave anyone on their own.
What are the particular challenges in your industry at the moment and how are you working on them?
The increasing complexity of technical issues is a real challenge for the industry. This requires, among other things, increasingly individualised and intensive advice. We offer companies this individual advice and are usually able to identify the specific opportunities (including new business models) for them during the initial discussions. Our aim is to support Germany’s strong SMEs to rema competitive, or even better, to gain a competitive edge. Our agnostic approach is a great help in this respect.
How do you expect your membership of the eco Association to help you achieve this?
The eco Association offers pooled industry and specialist knowledge, where we can usefully expand our long-standing network of industry experts. By pursuing common interests, we can achieve even more.
What opportunities does digitalisation offer us in the future?
Digitalisation has clearly revolutionised the way we work and live. It will continue to make IT processes even faster and more innovative. We want to play a proactive role in shaping this future and support companies to be even more successful in the future.
