EuroCloud Summit 2024: eco’s Cloud Community Meets in Offenbach

The cloud is establishing itself as an essential component of future-oriented IT infrastructures. For example, 47.2 per cent of companies in Germany expect cloud computing to have the greatest impact on the development of their IT spending in 2025 and 2026. This figure will be presented by EuroCloud Deutschland_eco on 26 September at the EuroCloud Summit 2024 in Offenbach. The study was conducted in collaboration with market researchers from techconsult.

The cloud community of the eco – Association of the Internet Industry will meet at the EuroCloud Summit on 26 September in Offenbach. The main purpose of the event is for members of the association to network. The focus will be on discussing current topics and developments in the cloud market. Participants can look forward to an exciting agenda.

“We would like to look at trends such as the buzz around GenAI and its impact on the cloud business as well as the current discussion on sovereignty, in the cloud” announces Felix Höger, Board Member of eco and EuroCloud. “However, what is more important to me is community building, the exchange among participants and getting to know each other. We are specially pleased to welcome some new members in Offenbach!”

“Meet the Board Members!”

The event will feature all the board members of EuroCloud. In addition to Höger, cloud experts Thomas Noglik, Dr Nils Kaufmann, Dr Jens Eckhardt and Prof. Dr Norbert Pohlmann will be available to talk to participants and discuss current topics related to the association’s work.

Another highlight will be the competition for the EuroCloud Award 2024, where three nominees in each category of “Best Cooperation Project”, “Human Empowerment”, “Sustainability” and “Member of the Year” will pitch their projects. This is an ideal opportunity for members to present themselves to the community. Applications can be submitted at www.eurocloud.de/jetzt-bewerben-fuer-den-eurocloud-award-2024.
