How can companies effectively protect themselves against cyberthreats? Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular are increasingly overwhelmed by the choice of suitable IT security solutions. The IT Security Marketplace of the Institute for Internet Security | if(is) at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences in Gelsenkirchen offers neutral assistance in cooperation with the eco Association. The online platform provides information in the form of news, articles and blog posts on all topics relating to IT security – supplemented by a directory of providers.
“In the future, it will become increasingly important to get a quick market overview of IT security experts, services and products,” says if(is) Institute Director and eco Board Member for IT Security Prof Norbert Pohlmann. “The IT Security Marketplace offers private users, public authorities and companies of all kinds a simple overview of services, products, events and providers in the field of IT security – quick, clear and up-to-date.”
Overview of regional IT security providers
User reports, success stories and references from IT security providers reflect the real purchasing decisions of companies and help potential customers decide on a suitable solution. SMEs in particular often look for service partners locally or in their neighbourhood. The results of the search for IT security solutions can therefore be limited to a selected region.
As part of the cooperation with the eco Association, eco member companies benefit from the opportunity to contribute news and technical articles to the IT Security Marketplace.
