  • 1987: Founding of "Compatible Computer Systems" as LAN, WAN, and BBS specialist; as of 1990, offering commercial Internet services under the brand name “Nacamar” in addition to X.25 and BBS services
  • 1992: Founding of “Landefeld Datenkommunikation” as an IP network operator in the Rhine-Main district
  • 1995: Foundation and management of "Nacamar Data Communications GmbH" as a Germany-wide Internet service provider with pan-European ambitions. Establishment and management of subsidiaries in Great Britain, Austria, France, Luxembourg, and Ireland
  • 1998: With AS 3257 (today’s GTT), Nacamar becomes the first German Tier1 provider
  • 1999: Sale and integration of the Nacamar Group to/into World Online N.V.
  • 1999: CTO of "World Online N.V.", Head of Pan-European Technology and responsibility for 1,500 technicians in 17 national subsidiaries
  • 2000: Support and organization of the World-Online IPO, the then largest European access provider with more than 8 million customers
