Combatting Illegal Internet Content: Balancing Act Between Safety on the Internet and Democratic Principles
Transparency creates trust. For this reason, we have been reporting transparently for many years now on the working approach and successes of the eco Complaints Office. As such, we have also published an independent Annual Report of the eco Compaints Office for 2018. In addition to the important statistics, we also want to report on our working approach and partnerships as well as our involvement in committees and initiatives. In order to effectively combat illegal Internet content, it is vital to be part of a national and international network that consists of many relevant players.
We are very pleased to present to you, together with Tiemo Wölken, Member of the European Parliament, the third edition of the eco Complaints Office’s independent Annual Report, with details on our work and statistics for the year 2018.
We would be pleased to welcome you to the Members’ Salon (Rue Wiertz 60, 1140 Brussels) on April 3, 2019.
For organizational reasons, we will require your RSVP by email to berlin@eco.de by 20 March. If you do not have an active right of access to the European Parliament (badge), on registering, please provide us with your name, date of birth, national identity number, and nationality for the purposes of your registration with the European Parliament security service.
We would like to point out that the event language will be in English. Should you have any questions, please contact Ms. Melanie Busse (melanie.busse@eco.de), who would be glad to help you.
