eco – Association of the Internet Industry – brings together these Internet industry ideas and competencies. With the eco://award 2018, we want to award visionaries who advance and shape the digital transformation.

The Internet and digitalization are transforming our communication behavior, our way of working, and our entire everyday life. We are experiencing a phase of structural change in which traditional industrial and economic sectors are evolving, and new business models are emerging on a daily basis. It is important to understand the opportunities and potentials of this transformation and to make use of them, to be ready for the future.

eco wants to be a trustworthy partner that represents the interests of its member companies in the Internet industry. In addition, we want to provide answers to the questions and challenges relating to the interconnected world.

The eco Award has been awarded under diverse titles since 1999 to honor the best companies and projects in the ever-evolving central topics in the Internet industry.

Due to its long history and ongoing development, the eco Award is one of the most renowned and recognized awards in the Internet industry. In the past, large companies were among the prize winners, as were young start-ups, which used the award as a springboard.
